GoFlex TV / Theater+ Remote 0.2.2

This network remote control can replace your FreeAgent's IR remote and allows text input from your phone's keyboard. It manages control of your Theater+ or GoLive TV through an Android Wi-Fi connection. Both your Android device and Theater+ or GoFlex TV need to be connected to the same network. The Theater+ or GoLive TV can connect via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Please note that only the most recent firmware version of the Theater+ or GoFlex TV supports all the features.

Known issues:

• Some software keyboards may not be compatible. If you experience difficulties, try using the Android keyboard. Keyboards known to work include: Android keyboard (and compatible), Swype keyboard, Nuance XT9 keyboard (e.g., Transformer Prime).
• The FreeAgent cannot be powered on with the remote control due to hardware limitations of the FreeAgent and GoLive devices.
• Text entry must be done in one go; moving the cursor or inserting text at a different point is not functional - a limitation of the FreeAgent (backspace works).

Permissions:

• INTERNET: Mandatory for the remote to access your local network and send commands to your FreeAgent.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Used to verify if Wi-Fi is enabled, prompting you to enable it if not.
• VIBRATE: Enables vibration feedback when a button on the remote is pressed.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Currently unused but required for a future update.
